    The figure on the Devil card is one you might be familiar with. It is Baphomet, half-man, half-goat. This being is a symbol of what happens when you give in to your desires. The inverted pentagram is a sign of occultism. A man and a woman stand on either side of Baphomet, chained to where he sits. While at first glance it might look as though they are forced to be there, their chains are loose and they could easily escape should they choose to do so. The small horns on their heads show that they are becoming more like the Devil the longer they stay by his side. Their tails represent their tendencies towards animalistic pleasure and raw instincts.
